Street Fit® Instructor Course Outline

If you like what you’ve seen, read or heard so far, you’re probably burning with questions. Read on to find out if Street Fit® is for you, and for a rundown of what to expect at your Street Fit® Instructors’ Course.

The Street Fit® Instructor Training Day

Before we tell you all about what Street Fit® will give you, we need to make sure that you understand exactly what we are not offering. Unlike some of our competitors, we aren’t in the business of throwing a few basic, generic moves to music and calling it a dance movement. Street Fit® is not a means of jumping onto a cool trend and fighting for a share of the spoils. Consequently, we are unable to boast 99 per cent pass rates, although the majority of those who book our course do come through with flying colours.

Street Fit® brings you Street Dance Fitness®, a considerable body of fitness and dance knowledge and high calibre teaching techniques. We fuse these together in a unique and effective Hip Hop Workout® designed to help people achieve their fitness goals while having fun, as they learn to perform the latest street dance moves. We are determined to be an industry leader, our brand synonymous with quality at all levels.

Are You an ETM Instructor? Then Get Awarded 4 CPD Points

If you are a qualified Level 2 Exercise to Music Instructor (ETM instructor), Street Fit® will not only provide the ultimate dance fitness consolidation, allowing you to adapt your skills to an exciting new dance medium, it will also give you 4 REPS CPD points (proof of qualification required prior to course date). If you are not an ETM instructor you can still take the course but will not get the points.

The written assessment is comprised of a straight forward multiple choice questionnaire to check that you understand fully not only Street Fit® but the health and safety and etching techniques and policies that you have to adhere to.

Session 12 - Preparation for Practical Assessment

You will be given time to practice your practical assessment weather you choose to follow one of the sections you have learnt or make your own choreography work. This is a chance to run through

Session 13 – Practical Assessment

Our practical exam takes place on the training day; you will be required to teach to the rest of the class a section of either your own or our choreography to the rest of the group. Our trainer will then assess your skills from that practical session and combine it with your multiple choice questionnaire which will result in a pass or fail.

This is your chance to show you have learnt and understand the choreography, how to teach it to others safely and effectively and know what Street Fit® is all about.

Session 14 – Feedback & Assessment Review

Street Fit® packs will be handed out to all that have passed the course, and any necessary feedback will be given. The pack will include the Street Fit® Certificate, Street Fit® DVD/CD, containing all choreography and music, and an Instructor’s Manual.
